Preparing For Your First Dental Appointment

Our goal is for every patient to have a positive dental experience. In order to help make your first dental appointment as enjoyable and stress free as possible, here are some helpful tips:

  • Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time.
  • Bring a list of all of the medications you or your child are taking.
  • Remember to bring billing information such as your Medicaid or CHP+ card.
  • Please turn your cell phone onto vibrate and relax. We want to get to know you without any distractions.
  • For parents bringing their children in for appointments, speaking positively about going to the dentist and the importance and benefits of a healthy mouth will help ensure that your child has a good experience. This includes not sharing any negative experiences or stories that may worry your child. Our pediatric dentists and staff are specially trained in different techniques to examine your child’s teeth in a pain free, non-threatening manner and help them have a successful first and future visits.

Dental Aid’s fees are approximately 50% of a private dentist. We offer our patients a variety of payment options!

We want you to know that you are valued. We look forward to meeting and helping you and your family have healthy and pain-free smiles.

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO PATIENTS ABOUT THE CORONAVIRUS OUTBREAK

Starting on Tuesday, March 17, and continuing until further notice, we must implement new restrictions on patient care. This is based on recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention about the coronavirus outbreak.

If you have an appointment at Dental Aid for routine dental treatment (such as a check-up or a cleaning, or a filling), the appointment will be cancelled and we will work with you to reschedule it.  We are now restricting treatment to urgent or emergency care for patients of record and delivery of work that has been completed at a lab such as dentures and crowns.

Please check this website or call the clinics for updates as conditions regarding the coronavirus outbreak change.

Thanks,
Jose R. Mena DMD
Dental Director
